The Bethany Historical Society (“BHS”) is an all-volunteer organization led by a long-term, very dedicated Board of Directors which offers a variety of programs, many in conjunction with the library, elementary school, and various community groups. The mission of the BHS is two-fold: to preserve the records and history of Bethany, Connecticut and to educate the general public about Bethany’s rich rural history.
The client base includes youngsters to senior citizens in Bethany and surrounding towns. BHS actively collaborates with other groups to increase the number of people using our facilities by hosting programs that are both interesting and meet the needs of our clientele, such as 2nd-grade interactive field trips and Family Fun Days at the farm.
